The FLC ATX was a 3-speed Automatic transmission Transaxle produced by Ford Motor Company from 1981 through 1994. It had a lockup torque converter and a micro computer with no overdrive. The ATX was replaced with the Jatco/Mazda computer-controlled F-4EAT transmission in 1991. The plain ATX continued production for the 1991 only Ford Taurus, 1991-1994 Ford Tempo and Mercury Topaz.
