The Ford Super Duty engine was a Truck engine from Ford Motor Company.
A V8 engine produced in displacements of 401, 477, or 534 Cubic inch, the Super Duty was introduced in 1958 along with the FE and MEL series V8s. These engines appeared in medium and heavy-duty trucks of the time and were large, heavy, slow speed engines. They were never designed as automobile engines.
