The Mazda AZ-Offroad is a Mini SUV, a Badge engineering Suzuki Jimny. The AZ in the name refers to Autozam, Mazda's ill-fated small car Marque. The AZ-Offroad was introduced in October, 1998 as a 1999 model. The engine is a Turbocharged 660 cc DOHC Suzuki K6A. All wheel drive is standard and an Automatic transmission is optional. The AZ continues to be sold in Japan.
