Windsor Casting (also known as the Fold Essex plant) is an Automobile factory owned by Ford Motor Company in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The plant first opened in 1981 and is located at 1 Quality Way on 260 Acre (110 Hectare) of land.[1] The building itself has about 1,900,000 Square foot (177,000 Square metre) of floor space.[1] This plant should not be confused with the much larger Windsor Engine plant.[2]

Operations ceased on May 30, 2007 as part of Ford's "Way Forward" plan. However, in September of 2008, it was announced that the engine plant would reopen.[3] The Windsor Casting facility is responsible for having produced many of the Ford Windsor series engines that were in production from the 1960's through until recent times.
